Laetitia's father Dominique Casta grew up in  Corsica. At the age of eight his family moved to France, and he decided to join them. They settled down in Normandy***  Some years after he meet a young girl named Line Blin.  They soon fell i love and got married . Line gave up her career to devote herself for her family. They got themselves three much loved children. 

Dominique says: "The family is sacred to us in Corsica, and I am convinced that is exactly what has made the difference for my family. At home Laetitia is not the center of the world, and there is no professional commitment that would prevent us from spending Christmas together. Of course she lives her own life now, but she knows that life consists of hard work and determination. She knows that things do not always come easily, nor are they always handed to you on a silver platter. I am not at all afraid that success will change her because I know the education she receives at home has made a deep impression on her. Perhaps we have been strict, but at least we are not parents who let their children grow up without guidance and authority, who don't know their children anymore."*

Laetitia's full name is Laetitia Maria Laure Casta. She was born the 11 May 1978 in Pont - Audemer, Normandy, France. Her big-brother was born two years before that. When Laetitia was around twelve, she got a little sister, Marie-Ange. 

They grew up at the countryside in Normandy. Laetitia says: 

"I lived for ten years in absolute simplicity, surrounded by nature with very few neighbours. I could play with the frogs in the river or wander through the woods with absolute freedom. It was fantastic. Even today, I love to sometimes throw my arms around a tree. It gives me energy and makes me feel close to nature." **

In between the 18 and 19 October the year 2001, Laetitia Casta and  Stephane Sednaoui got their first baby. A girl, she's got the name Sahteene (pronounced Satine). Congratulate. The parents guard their daughter from the media,  this is one of the few official pictures of Sahteene (February 2002). About becoming a mother and what that changes in your  life, Laetitia tells this:
"Everything; for life itself! It's corny to say so, but it's simply the most beautiful thing that exists in the world. One matures, gets more confidence in oneself. The priorities are different. But there's nothing really special to say. I'm simply feeling like millions of anonymous women who brought their child in the world." (source TV-Mag)

Fore some years now Laetitia has been dating Stephane Sednaoui. He is French and has been working as a  photographer and video director. Among other things he has taken some beautiful pictures of Laetitia. He has made a lot of great music videos for: U2,  Bjørk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode, Madonna and many more.
