Z650F1 1980
The F1 was a mix of the
previous B and current C4 model. The F1 got cast alloy wheels, a
single front disc brake and a drum brake at the rear wheel. The
ignition and stator covers where ribbed. The instruments are
similar to the B and C models, but it got a new all metal
master cylinder (brake fluid). It kept the kick starter and
the engine was still in silver aluminum paint. There was three colors to choose between, Candy Persimmon Red, Luminous Dark
blue and Candy Emerald Green.

My first big bike was a Z650F3.
It was a nice bike, faster than my friend's
CB750F. Another friend had an B1 or B2, that bike was faster then
the F3 until third gear, ones in third and above the F3 easily
passed the older B model. Its amazing that I took so few pictures of
it. Here with my friend
BirgerVennesland on his
modified Yamaha XS650. Picture taken around 1983 |

The F4, the last Z650. This time
there where no major changes. It got the
engine
cases from the Z750L. The 650 badge had a new design, and
the colures was as always new.
