The
only drag bike here, Alex's 78 KZ650 As you see the bike
is heavily modified and THE fastest 650 here.
Here are some details:
831cc, mechanical fuel injection on alcohol, 14:1 static
compression, 50-52 deg ignition lead, Mallory sprint mag,
Hilborn 00 pump, one gallon fuel cell (stock tank is a dummy),
5.5" Goodyear slick, 3" over stock swingarm, lowered
front and rear, hydraulic clutch, lockup clutch and MRE
air shifter.'
And its fast, low 10's and 130mph quarter mile (1/4 mile).
And its strong, around 130 hp at the rear wheel. (same as a
ZX11)
Most of the bike is custom built.
And yes, its not street legal. |

Hello from Calgary, Canada.....the home of
many 650's. I know of at least 5 besides my own KZ650C2.
I bought my C2 from the 3rd....yes....the 3rd
owner.....with only _*2,254*_ kilometres on the clock in April,
2007. The old girl had not been used very much and had been
properly stored over the years by the various owners so that's
why she was in such nice condition. This bike is sooooo much fun
to ride. I own other bikes, both older/newer and larger/smaller
than my 650....but the 650 is the bike I ride every day.
Lots of power, good handling and great
brakes....considering she's 31 years old.
I've
taken her on 2 longish trips each about 1700 kilometres during
the past year and she has never missed a beat. She's as
dependable as the sunrise and gets excellent fuel economy, both
around town and on the highway.
I've kept her as stock as daily use allows,
although the windshield and the parcel rack are necessary
additions for the daily trek back and forth to work.
I'm attaching a few pics of "Ace" (as I call
her) for your site.
Kind regards,
H2RICK

Gerry from Switzerland is the owner of this
nice and slightly modified B1. According to Gerry it runs
great but he have a hard time looking for an original 4-2
exhaust system and a shorter rear fender. Anyone?
