T. Clarke from Australia. MF135, MF185 4x4
|
Her is two nice Massey's owned by T.
Clarke from Australia.
The 135 was used for towing our boats in and out of the
St.lawrence River in Queensland Australia. about he MF 185 he says:
".It was bought new in 1974 in 2 wheel drive, but was converted to
four wheel drive by the dealer before delivery. These machines where
only converted in small numbers for this area, which is very steep rocky
hills for growing pineapples. This 185 has the Transmission Transfer
gearbox [Stype] it made the tractor 7 inches longer, but allowed the PTO
to be used anytime. It was a great tractor, the only disadvantage was
low ground clearance under the front differential. Later factory models
have it
up high like today." |

Hallgrim Uppsata

This two really nice MF-575 tractors, they belongs
to Hallgrim Uppsata from Norway. He have 5 MF-500 series tractors
and have been operating the 500 series sins the start in 1977. The
one on the first two pictures is an restored 1977 MF575-2 with Multi
Power. A turbo charger have benn added for more power.
The MF575-4 on the three last pictures is a one of a
kind. Hallgrim have done a great work rebuilding it as a "Sloping
Bonnet" version. (like some of the newer Massey's)
According to the owner this was actually quite
simple sins a radiator change wasn't necessary. He had to move the
air filter to a new location, change the battery to a smaller model.
Radiator and fan are from a 590 to improve cooling. The whole
tractor have been overhauled, and it have got a new Syncro-12
transmission and a Turbo.... Simple or no, I think Hallgrim
have put a lot of work in this, and he have got a MF575 you have
never seen before. Very nice. Originally it was a standard 1978

Lars Kudahl, from
Denmark, 1977 MF1200 Turbo |

Got an email from Denmark about "big toys for big
boys" And here it is, Lars Kudahl's really nice MF1200.
Lars actually brought two 1200's back in 2006,
both had actually seen better days, one was sold, and one stayed. The one on the
pictures here was tuned with a lot of new parts, add some paint and suddenly you
have a great looking classic. This one got a turbo charger and power is up to
150hp. A lot for a 30 years old tractor.
Lars is a Massey man with a lot of the red stuff on his farm, from a 1962 MF35x,
this 1977 MF1200, a 1994 MF3120 a 1996 MF8110 to a 2007 MF6499, and yes a 1994
MF965 backhoe loaders and 2001 MF32
combine.
I think the 1200 have
come to a god home for a Massey. |
